Island-style Beignets

  • 2 Cups Flour
  • 2 Tbsp. Sugar
  • 2 tsp. Salt
  • 2 tsp. Baking Powder
  • ¾ Cup Water


  1. Add flour, sugar, salt, and baking powder into a mixing bowl.
  2. Add warm water slowly to the mixture.
  3. Mix with a fork until all ingredients are incorporated.
  4. Place dough onto a floured surface and knead with palms until no longer sticky, adding more flour as needed.
  5. Cover with damp paper towel.
  6. Heat coconut oil in a cast iron skillet.
  7. Roll dough with a rolling pin until ¼" thick.
  8. Cut into squares.
  9. Fry in batches of 3-5 at a time.
  10. Enjoy!
